"We're one for all and all for one, behind the man behind the gun." ---George M. Cohan
Dedicated to the honorable men and women in the US military, past and present, with a special message to those now facing a new and present danger, in the course of protecting and defending us, and protecting and defending those around the globe. These true American heroes defend our freedom every day. They have earned, and they deserve, America's full support and appreciation, on Thanksgiving, and every day.
Along with my thanks, I would like to say that my thoughts and prayers are with the troops who are heading out to defend another one of America's allies.
According to FoxNews: "The nuclear-powered USS George Washington carrier strike group, which carries 75 warplanes and has a crew of over 6,000, left a naval base south of Tokyo and will join exercises with South Korea from Sunday to the following Wednesday, U.S. officials in Seoul told Reuters."
My prayers also go out to the over 20,000 troops already there, in the middle of what is an extremely dangerous situation.
Since the the first Thanksgiving, ordinary men and women, fellow Americans, have performed extraordinary feats in the course of what is a normal work day for them, in keeping us safe and protecting our freedoms.
This Thanksgiving, with turmoil and danger at every turn, I will think about, and continually thank them for all that they do for me, and for the rest of America.
