FCC President Minow once said this about television, "I can assure you that what you will observe is a vast wasteland." I am beginning to think that he would say the same thing about internet search engines.
Liberal bloggers' fingers are typing away today, about their favorite subject; Glenn Beck.
I had to click through four pages of a Google search to find the real reasons for the studio audience on Glenn Beck's show last Friday.
The first three were laced with headlines like, "Glenn Beck preaches socialism to the military", "Glenn Beck and West Point Cadets; WTF", and my personal favorite, "Lesbians fight to repeal DADT", with Glenn Beck's name in the description, which had nothing to do with Glenn Beck, but I guess people are tempted to click whenever his name is mentioned.
Nothing new from the left concerning Glenn Beck, but this time they are throwing West Point and West Point Cadets in for good measure to make a point. Actually, from the left, the anti-war rant is nothing new either.
The topic of Glenn's show on Friday dealt with 'how important the military is to our freedoms'. To those who support the military, this is something we already know.
For the anti-war crowd, it is just another way to disparage the service our military does each day for America and their fellow citizens; protecting, serving, and defending freedom.
It is no secret that Glenn Beck supports the military. His 8/28 Restoring Honor Rally was all about honoring our military heroes, the people Glenn Beck believes are this country's last great hope to restore honor back to America. Soldiers currently serving their country, call in to Beck's rado show, and let him know that they too understand what Beck is all about, where the military is concerned.
The tone of Beck's show on Friday was in sharp contrast to the commencement speech President Obama gave to West Point Cadets last May. However, if you search for the president's speech at West Point, the hits are much more favorable for Obama, than they were for Glenn Beck.
Although one was more accurate than any other, and that was this one: " At West Point, Obama Presses for New World Order to Defeat Al Qaeda."
Obama's speech at West Point was merely another platform for him to lay out his plans for America.
Once again, Obama used the audience of over 1300 graduates and their families, to push the agenda of this administration, "The fundamental transformation of the United States of America."
He told the cadets "America’s security abroad must be matched by a revitalized US economy."
He also noted, "America’s civilian and domestic progress, particularly in the economic field, must match the vigor of its military."
In my opinion, nothing matches the vigor of the US military; nothing!
Obama went on to say, “At no time in human history has a nation of diminished economic vitality maintained its military and political primacy,”
I think we did that in WWII, but since our president attended an Ivy League school, he must know better than those who will actually proudly serve their country in the military.
President Obama did not stop at the tanking economy. He also managed to sneak in the fabricated climate change agenda, by saying, "the civilians among us must ensure that American innovation in areas like clean energy, the sciences, and education, remain the foundation of American power.”
I guess throwing education in there with it, has to do with the free tuition for children of illegal immigrants, thrown into the healthcare reform bill, which Congress voted on before actually reading what was in the bill.
I am surprised that Obama did not go into the social justice part of his planned transformation. I guess he is saving that for another commencement speech.
Searching for anything Obama or anything Glenn Beck, would save liberal bloggers time if they just used these words, "Obama good; Beck bad!"
