Just to relay any concerns: The photos on the left have nothing to do with what Glenn Beck is suggesting. These are my ideas. Because he has enough dirtbags spreading lies about him, and doesn't need people to start saying that Glenn Beck is readying for a nuclear attack. This is part humor/part reality on my part.
One of Glenn Beck's favorite expressions of late, is "Prepare for the worst and hope for the best", a traditional Proverb.
It really is only a matter of common sense. I used to be like most people, who might find myself facing a crisis, and being unprepared to handle it.
I'm a fan of The Glenn Beck Program, and I do not agree with MediaMatters saying that Glenn Beck engages in 'constant fearmongering".
If they think Beck is bad, then they missed what many Americans prepared themselves for, before Obama became President.
I have heard a lot of different people give their ideas on what to do 'to prepare for what's ahead'.
I myself said that if Obama or Hillary became president, I would have to plan ahead. I even drew up a plan.
It was not until Obama won the presidential election that I began following through on that plan, to prepare for the Hope and Change Obama was about to bring to America; the transformation of America, as Obama called it.
Here's what I did:
I searched for the following items (photos of these items at right, courtesy of the Civil Defense Museum)
Shelter Food Items
First Aid Kit
Radiological Detection Instruments
Porta Potty
Oh, and I started building a bomb shelter just in case the hand on the doomsday clock moves again.
As it says in the 80's song: "Take your children and yourself and hide out in the cellar!"
If Glenn Beck's a fearmonger, he's got nothing on me. I'm more prepared than the Scouts!
And it's a good thing too, because of what was seen off the coast of California on the night of November 8, 2010.
Check this out:
ABC News' video of mysterious contrail spotted off CA's coast
I may have to update my supplies and add some things especially after hearing China hacked us.
I want to be a lifeboat instead of holding up a sign that says Help! when the big one hits.
And here are suggestions from Glenn Beck's Be Prepared List on what else you can do.
Call me crazy, call Glenn Beck a liar, a paranoid schizophrenic, or a fearmonger, but first ask yourself if you want to be the victim or the rescuer.
